Kastoria, Greece.

𝗠𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘂 has been awarded the first place in the category “Climate action in your city”. In her photo, she captured the voluntary action called “the Walls of Kindness” taking place in her hometown of Kastoria. In wooden handmade hungers placed on abandoned walls around the city by volunteers, anyone can hang clothes that don’t need. In doing so, they not only help their fellow citizens facing financial difficulties, but also contribute to the reuse of clothes. A beautiful example of combining social solidarity and environmental practices. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘂!

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to all the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗘𝗨 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 who promoted the Photo Competition, with a special mention to EU Climate Pact Ambassador Konstantina Togaridou for her support in actively promoting the EU Climate Pact Photo Competition in the city of Kastoria, were the winning photo was taken.

10th Just Transition Platform Conference and Working Groups on Stakeholder Engagement DG Regio

  An inspiring Just Transition Platform Conference took place in Bruxelles on 15 and 16th of October. A more inspiring working group on Stakeholder Engagement on the 17th of October where knowledge, experience and willingness to support energy intensive regions paved the way to new actions. I would like to express my gratitude to all experts for their support. Regional Women Innovators

Το πρόγραμμα Regional Women Innovators είχε ως στόχο να αναδείξει γυναίκες που επιχειρούν και καινοτομούν στην ελληνική περιφέρεια. Η 2η season αφιερώνεται σε καθημερινές γυναίκες με όραμα και επιμονή να το υλοποιήσουν στην Δυτική Μακεδονία. Με φόντο το ιστορικό αρχοντικό Τσιατσιαπά της Καστοριάς , η συζήτηση επικεντρώνεται στις προκλήσεις και τις ευκαιρίες μετάβασης από την εξάρτηση από τον λιγνίτη σε πιο πράσινα και βιώσιμα μοντέλα στη Δυτική Μακεδονία. Το πρόγραμμα αποτελεί μια πρωτοβουλία του DCN Global και της Mindspark+ , με την υποστήριξη του ιδρύματος FNF Greece and Cyprus. Iδιαίτερες ευχαριστίες στον Nikos Panagiotou για την ιδέα και την και την πρωτοβουλία, στον Leonidas Skerletopoulos για την διεύθυνση παραγωγής και την διοργάνωση και την Eleni Siapikoudi για τον συντονισμό και τη διοργάνωση των συζητήσεων με τις γυναίκες επιχειρηματίες. ....................................................................................................................................
