As part of the European Green Week, the Polytechnic of Crete hosted online the Greek Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact who discussed the green transition, the benefits (economic, environmental, social) and the implications for citizens, and the challenges we face as a society.

ΠΡΑΣΙΝΗ ΜΕΤΑΒΑΣΗ: ΕΥΣΕΒΗΣ ΠΟΘΟΣ Η ΑΝΑΓΚΑΙΟΤΗΤΑ Στο πλαίσιο της Ευρωπαϊκής Πράσινης Εβδομάδας, το Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης και η Σχολή μας φιλοξένησαν διαδικτυακά τους Έλληνες Πρεσβευτές του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμφώνου για το Κλίμα οι οποίοι συζήτησαν για την πράσινη μετάβαση, τα οφέλη (οικονομικά, περιβαλλοντικά, κοινωνικά) και τις επιπτώσεις για τους πολίτες, και τις προκλήσεις που έχουμε μπροστά μας ως κοινωνία. 10th Just Transition Platform Conference and Working Groups on Stakeholder Engagement DG Regio

  An inspiring Just Transition Platform Conference took place in Bruxelles on 15 and 16th of October. A more inspiring working group on Stakeholder Engagement on the 17th of October where knowledge, experience and willingness to support energy intensive regions paved the way to new actions. I would like to express my gratitude to all experts for their support. TGK1 & TGK2 Annual Meeting | RFCS 2025

We’re in the final stretch of an inspiring two-day joint meeting of the TGK1 & TGK2 Technical Groups under the EU’s European Research Executive Agency (REA) hashtag # RFCS Fund for Coal and Steel, hosted by the Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης - Technical University of Crete . Europe frequently speaks about the transition before it speaks with those who stand on its frontline

Europe’s green transformation is often discussed in terms of technologies, investment plans, and regulatory milestones. Yet the real test lies elsewhere: in whether citizens feel included, informed, and empowered in the changes reshaping their lives.
